Fulham had lost home and away to Brentford so Parker had to come up with something to frustrate their front 3.

Thought Brentford were awful and Fulham very negative. The game was dire until a bit of life once the goal was scored. The quality in both of these sides was lacking. Even the much talked about Benrahma was largely ineffective.
Fulham have no chance of staying up if they stick with this high risk football and this quality of player.

a) Surplus to requirements

One of the few good things the current owners have said and lived up to is their commitment to not sell players to Tottenham after Parker went there. He was the last high profile West Ham to Tottenham transfer and that was in 2011, after we were relegated.

I can't get sentimental about Parker. Played for anyone who'd stump up: Chelsea, Spurs, us, Charlton, Fulham... CLUB AMBASSADOR for the north London COCKS.
Played well for us, but that's what we paid him for. As a West Ham Legend, he's on a level with little Arnold.

I was watching the game with a Bees fan last night, who got very agitated and emotional after the final whistle, saying something about the ramifications of not getting promoted and the disastrous effect it will have on their team.
He had to have a Fulham fan pulled off him because his rant didn't stop there, and included some nasty comments about Fulham players and manager lol

I still have no idea why arsenal weren’t in for Parker when he wanted out. He was exactly what they needed. I had no issue with him wanting to go, no one could have put more in to save us from relegation. He hardly did a Defoe and turn in a transfer request moments after getting relegated
Frankly I think his best years were with us and spurs never really got the best out of him anyway
